Malba Car Show 2024
The 66th year of the Malba Car Show, paired with the 110th anniversary of the Malba Field and Marine Club, marked a celebration of intersecting milestones. Inspired by the client’s love of American trivia and car culture, the theme highlighted the connections between these anniversaries through iconic symbols from 1966 and 110-octane-fueled drag racing.
The design featured two standout cars: a 1966 Monkeymobile from TV fame and an altered dragster race car that burns 110-octane fuel. Though the original cars were unavailable at the show due to late cancellations, the graphic concept preserved their essence by depicting them on converging roads adorned with “Route 66” and “Interstate 110” road signs—visual cues that tied the milestones together.
Leveraging Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I crafted a vector-based graphic that was tailored for multiple applications, including t-shirts, sponsor plaques, and trophy plaques, ensuring consistency and impact across various mediums.
